Chimney Inspections

Level 1 (FREE)

The most common type of inspection . Level 1 is a visual assessment of all readily accessible portions of the chimney system’s interior and exterior. A certified technician from Clean as a Whistle Chimney Sweep will ensure basic soundness of the structure flue and will ensure the chimney is free of obstruction and combustible deposits.

Level 2

In all residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, venting inspection includes the design, installation, maintenance, and inspection of chimneys, fireplaces, and venting systems.

Level 3
When the construction of the chimney is required for the continuing or renewed usage of the chimney due to potentially undetected defects, inspection is required. The Level 3 examination entails opening or removing an inner wall to get access to the chimney’s concealed sections. This level of examination is usually performed when a more significant problem has been discovered and a repair solution needs to be decided.

Customer Reviews

  • – Jasmine

“Emailed Clean as a Whistle to come out and check out our chimneys. Chalin was so responsive to my questions and Dylan came out and inspected both of them. He told me they were both clean and took the time to explain to me how different gases burn differently. He was friendly and helpful and I appreciated their honestly. Would highly recommend them and plan on calling them in a couple years or so to inspect again.”

  • – Georgia

“Chalin was so helpful! He knew exactly what we needed to do for our recent remodel. Took the time to explain to my husband how to update our dated fireplace and bring it into the new plan for our house. Would highly recommend him if you ever need anything for an existing fireplace- call him!”

  • – Linda

“It is rare nowadays to get great service. Clean as a whistle responded promptly to my call to them, communicated clearly when they were coming, arrived exactly on time. They inspected the chimney and said it was perfect and didn’t not need a clean. Free service call as they were in the area. I was willing to pay for the call out, but they said as they were in the area, there was no charge. Honest, responsive and caring. 5 stars and more. How refreshing!!”

  • – Pam

“Dylan is awesome. I just bought my home and heard that the fireplace had never been used but I wanted to make sure it was safe. Since it was so clean, there was nothing for him to do but inspect it. He gave me pointers about using it safely but he didn’t charge me anything. He just asked that I call him in the spring to clean it after winter use. What a nice man to do business with. Will definitely be using him year after year!”

  • – Audrea

“Dylan came and cleaned my chimney today. I’ve lived in my house for 16 years and have never done it. I have been meaning to do it but wanted a good company. I read their reviews and called them. He was super knowledgable, answered all my questions. He was in and out in an hour. I would highly recommend Clean as a Whistle to anyone.”

How often should I clean my chimney?

Chimney’s should be check every year, as recommended by the National Fire Protection Agency. To do its job properly chimneys must vent hot, toxic gases and carbon monoxide to the outdoors. Temperatures inside the chimney often exceed 2000 degrees. A yearly checking will make sure that the chimney is performing properly.

What is the Difference Between Level 1, 2, and 3 Chimney Inspections?

Chimney inspections are governed by the National Fire Protection Association. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) specifies three categories of chimney inspection.
The most typical inspection is a Level 1 Chimney Inspection. It entails a thorough examination of all readily accessible parts of the chimney system’s interior and exterior. A professional technician from Clean as a Whistle Chimney Sweep will inspect the building flue for fundamental structural soundness as well as combustible deposits and obstructions.
The Level 2 Chimney Inspection is a little trickier. When a chimney has been damaged and needs to be repaired, which is usually done when buying or selling a property. An inspection by a Certified Clean as a Whistle Chimney Sweep includes the design, installation, maintenance, and inspection of chimneys, fireplaces, and venting systems in all residential, commercial or industrial buildings.
When the chimney has undetected defects, a Level 3 Chimney Inspection is frequently necessary. Opening or removing an internal wall to provide access to concealed components of the chimney might be one scenario. This level of examination is usually performed when a more significant problem has been discovered and a repair solution needs to be decided. All three Levels of Inspection should be easily identifiable by a Certified Chimney Sweep. If you question a chimney sweep and they scratch their heads or can’t give you a clear explanation for the kind you might require, it’s time to call Clean As A Whistle Chimney Sweep.
